Lost in the moment

…and it’s kind of starting to drive me crazy. I am the sort of person who always wonders if I’m missing something better by making a decision without looking at EVERY option. So I started with a couple of links for photographers, mostly recommended to me by other people who have used them. I think I had a list of four or five, each with a handful of different packages and customization options to choose from. All relatively different styles and price ranges. You’d think that would be enough to choose from. Apparently, no. Today I went and ran a Google search for Edmonton wedding photographers, and added about ten more options to my list. I don’t even know where to start anymore… so I content myself with looking at pretty pictures of other people’s weddings. (Even though I will have my own soon enough, I still live vicariously through other peoples’ weddings!)

I will wait until Chris gets back from Vancouver, and together we will narrow it down. He’s good for actually looking at stuff like that from an objective point of view… I just get caught up in options and pretty pictures.

Snow and Wood Paneling

It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything of real substance so here’s some real substance.

I (Chris) accepted a job with an online marketing firm, and I’ll start that on the 11th. Megan’s been doing her practicum this semester with the Kelowna Women’s shelter, doing a program called “Inside Out” in local high schools. We’ve both managed to get up to the ski hills a decent amount and spend time with friends from church.

Last weekend we flew back to Edmonton to spend time with our families, and on Saturday we went back out to the Officer’s Mess at CFB Edmonton (Namao). It’s even nicer than I remembered. The only thing we weren’t sure about from last time was the dining room and dance floor/bar area are on two different levels, but now that we’ve seen it again it’s not going to be a problem. The dining room is a nice size, wood paneled walls, nice art, good light. The dance floor/bar area has a nice bar, a fireplace or two, and lots of leather chairs and couches. It’ll be a pretty sweet deal.

Big White has seen about a foot of snow in the last week. Megan’s mom and brother are going to be out this weekend for some skiing and we’re excited to spend some more time with them.

Things are looking good, and we’re looking forward to the early spring!

Hope you all have a blessed Lent!
